On Demolition and Preservation

This is an attempt to talk about the city's memory, the preservation of public spaces inherited from the past and an understanding of their importance in people’s life. The film explores, through the medium of dance, three spaces in Yerevan--they differ from each other but share similar problems (Firdus district, Book Chamber of Armenia, Kanaker Hek Reservoir). Moving her dance from one space to another, the artist creates a bridge and connects them, once again strengthening the belief that a person’s conscious and caring attitude toward her own surroundings will have a decisive role and meaning for the fate of future generations.
